CHoiCe Trust, a Non-Profit organisation operating in Limpopo Province, is seeking a Peer Educator
who will be responsible for supporting with implementation and reaching the targets of the HIV
Combination Prevention Programme for MSM in the Vhembe District. This programme is being
implemented by CHoiCe Trust on behalf of Beyond Zero as part of the Global fund initiative and works
to men having sex with men (MSM) in the targeted area reached by the targeted facility. Peer Educators
will work at the local level to provide a comprehensive package of services, as per the prescribed
Standard Operating Procedures, to the targeted beneficiaries, and complete the reporting tools as
required.

Role Requirements:
The appointed individual is expected to have the following experience and qualifications:

  • A Matric Certificate is required; post graduate diplomas or certificates in community of health
    development themes will be an advantage
  • Experience in community mobilisation and community work
  • Knowledge of HIV and TB
  • Experience in working with LGBTQIA+ Community
  • Good communication skills, including English and at least one local language
  • Computer and mobile phone literacy
  • Proficiency in the compilation of written reports
  • People from the MSM community are encouraged to apply
  • Proof of COVID 19 vaccination

The Peer Educators must be able to work independently, have good communication skills, be detail-
oriented, well organised and deadline driven. The individual must have tenacity, patience, passion for

working with people, be accurate and precise. They must be able to work towards set targets and have
a passion for working with men having sex with men (MSM).
